When someone visits your site, how obvious is it to them what exactly it is that you do? Is it obvious? I mean… really, really, really, painfully obvious? Unless your front page is SHOUTING what your product or service is, I guarantee you’re losing 99% (yes, really-99%) of your prospects. Why?
Statistics show that the average web visitor logs on, and then off, of a new website in 2-3 seconds. 2-3 SECONDS!!! Woah. Count with me…

Why do they leave so quick? Because humans have a very low tolerance for having to sort through any kind of noise to find the info they want. And the info they want to know from you is “Are you the solution to my problem or need?” Blame the internet because everyone is used to the fact that if they can’t find what they need from you, they’ll find it somewhere else.
What you need to do is make your Unique Selling Proposition blatantly obvious. I mean like in bold, 72 point, font.
If you have a paragraph on your home page without the support of any kind of picture or compelling headline, YOU ARE LOSING MONEY… A LOT OF IT!
So let’s recap: Be obvious! Or you will lose money! The next time someone mouths off and calls you Captain Obvious, thank them.
